This is a blog about birds. There will be birds here. There will be bird videos here. There will be artsy birds here, there will be lulzy birds here, there will be cute birds here. There will be bird photos here. There will be all kinds of birds. There might be bird noises here. Show us what your bird looks like. Submit some birds. [Blog info tag.]

Basically, I like to stare at birds. Why are they so awesome? Hey birds:
Y U SO FLY???

(This blog is only NSFW for cursing and other lulz. Otherwise it will be more tame than my personal Tumblr.)

Grey goshawk of Australia (white morph) - the only pure-white bird of prey that is not a result of albinism.

Yeah but why is it called grey?

The Grey goshawk simply comes in two color forms.  The grey morph and the white morph.  The grey morph is more common than the white morph, thus the species is named for the more common version.Grey morph birds look like this:

what is this. magical bird.

Quetzal. That bird is a Quetzal and it can be found on Western Mexico.  It’s on a near threatened status.

And it totally IS a magical bird. Or at least a sacred one.

OH GOD IT’S SO CUTE I NEVER EVEN DREAMED

The blackest bird there ever was. It’s black on the outside from head to toe, and black on the inside with its meat and organs.

It’s called the Ayam Cemani from Indonesia, and they’re $2,500 a pop. Their bones are black, too. The only part of them that’s not black is their blood

    That’s metal.

how did this even arrive on my dash without someone calling it a big black cock

If it makes you feel better I thought “eyyyyyy check out that big black cock” the moment I saw it & before I scrolled down to your comment.

i love this dumb turtledove like you have an entire backyard where you could find stationary shade but no you decide to chill out in the tiny spot of shade cast by the birdfeeder which moves so quickly that you have to get up every ten minutes why did you make this decision why do you make this decision every day
